Acyclovir(Antivirals, Zovirax)가 무슨 약일까?

바이러스 증식을 막고 DNA 합성을 방해함으로써 Mucocutaeneous HSV-1 and HSV-2를 치료하는 데에 #사용된다.

HSV는 herpes simplex virus로 1번은 주로 입에 나고 2번은 생식기 부근에 나는 질병이다.

다른 치료에 쓰이는 약들과 다르게 이 약은 뇌의 기능이나 구조에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 #부작용 가지고 있다.

encephalopathic changes. 관련되어 seizure가 올 수도 있다.

이외에도 stevens-johnson syndrome. leukopenia, acute renal failure을 겪을 수도 있다.

그래서 신경적으로나 신장에 문제가 있는 환자들에게는 약을 #주의해서 복용하도록 해야한다.

​

이 약이 Hyrantoins, valproic acid와 쓰일 땐 이 약의 효능을 떨어뜨리는 #반응이 일어날 수 있고

zidovudine과 쓰일 때는 drowsiness(졸음), lethargy(혼수)를 느낄 수도 있다.

이 약은 캡슐, 혈관주사, 알약, 연고, 크림 #형태로 주어지는데

Capsule은 200mg, IV injection은 500mg/vial, 1g/vial, Tablet은 400mg, 800mg의 형태가 있다.

환자에게 가르쳐줘야하는 #권고 사항은 다음과 같다.

Tell patient drug is used for managing the HSV, not eliminatng or entirely curing the disease.

Tell patient to avoid sexual contact while visible lesions are present.

​

환자를 위해 간호사가 해야하는 #관리 사항은 다음과 같다.

Start therapy as soon as possible after symptoms occur.

Encephalopathic changes are likely to happen to patient who has a neurologic disorder.

​

약을 복용한 후의 #효능은 BUN, Creatinine 수치가 향상되었는지를 통해 알 수 있다.
